NATIONWIDE MAIL-IN REPAIRS

Mail-In Device Repair Anywhere in New Zealand

You do not need to live in Auckland to use our workshop. Post your phone, laptop, tablet or console to us from anywhere in the country, and we will diagnose it free, quote before any work starts, and courier it back repaired and tested.

How mail-in repair works

Four steps, and no charge until you have seen the quote and approved it.

Step 1

Tell us what is wrong

Send us a message or call before you post anything. We will confirm the device is one we can repair by mail and give you a likely turnaround.

Step 2

Pack it properly

Wrap the device, pad every side, and use a tracked courier. Packaging matters more than most people expect, and we have guidance below.

Step 3

We diagnose and quote

Once it arrives we diagnose the fault and contact you with a fixed quote. Nothing is repaired, and nothing is charged, until you approve it.

Step 4

Repair, test, return

We complete the repair, test it thoroughly, and courier it back to you tracked, with a 90-day parts and labour warranty.

Good candidates for mail-in repair

  • Mobile phones, including iPhone and Samsung
  • Tablets and iPads
  • Laptops and MacBooks
  • Gaming consoles and controllers
  • Smart watches
  • Hard drives, SSDs and USB storage for data recovery

Better brought in person

We would rather tell you this upfront than have something arrive damaged.

  • Televisions, which are too fragile and bulky to post safely
  • Desktop towers and all-in-one PCs, unless arranged with us first
  • Devices with severe physical damage that may not survive transit
  • Anything with a swollen or visibly damaged battery, which couriers restrict

How to pack a device so it survives the trip

More mail-in devices are damaged by bad packaging than by the courier. A cracked screen posted loose in a satchel usually arrives worse than it left.

Wrap the device in bubble wrap or a thick layer of soft padding, then place it in a box with at least two fingers of padding on every side, including top and bottom. The device should not move at all when you shake the box gently.

Use a tracked courier rather than standard post, and keep the tracking number. Write your name and phone number on a note inside the box, along with a short description of the fault, so we can match it to your enquiry as soon as it lands on the bench.
